It highlights disparities exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly affecting women and marginalized communities in adapting to climate change. The report emphasises the need for gender-responsive climate financing and the critical role of women, especially in MSMEs, in building climate resilience. It underscores the importance of data disaggregation and institutional support to bridge financial gaps for women-owned businesses. The report calls for enhanced corporate climate resilience efforts that recognise women’s vulnerabilities and leadership potential, advocating for inclusive and accountable climate initiatives involving civil society and the private sector.
