“Gender and Climate Finance”

The brief discusses the disproportionate effects of climate change on women. They address the lack of gender-responsive funding in climate finance making it impossible to address the unique needs and perspectuves of marginalized voices. The UNPD suggests crtain initiatives to combat this, including gender-responsive budgeting, women’s leadership and particpiation in decision making and development of gender sensitive monitoring and evaluation. They also recognize the climate advantages of gender equality and financial integration of women.
